Set on the edge of the beautiful Cotswolds, in the lee of Bredon Hill, made famous by the prolific author, Fred Archer, Pondhouse Poultry can now boast 4 generations of poultry keepers.

Our aim is to provide quality, free range poultry whether it be for a few eggs for the house or for those wishing to keep and possibly breed some of the traditional and rare pure breeds.

We keep a number of pure breed chickens including Araucanas, Barnevelders, Light Sussex, Exchequer Leghorns, Welsummers, Rhode Island Red and Marans.

We have a large selection of rarer breeds including Appenzellers, Andalusians,
Friesian Fowl, Orpingtons, Barred Plymouth Rocks, Speckled Sussex Silkies, Vorwerks, Wyandottes and the autosexing Legbars and Welbars.

We also breed most colours of Pekins and the stunning Barbe d’Uccle bantams.

We usually have Point of Lay hybrid hens, including Black Rock, Bovans Nera,
and Speckledys, available throughout the year.
Our duck breeds include most colours of Indian Runners, Cayugas, Abacot Rangers, Khaki, Dark and very rare Blue Campbells and Belgian Blue Forest.

Our geese breeds include Brecon Buff, and rare blue steinbacher.

 We have several breeds of geese including Brecon Buffs and the rare and stunningly beautiful blue Steinbacher.

In Quail, we breed 3 varieties of Japanese (the Italian Laying strain, the Jumbo table bird and the new dual Purpose Spanish strain). We also have Chinese Quail and Bob Whites.

We also now supply turkeys and guinea fowl.
